OUTBREAK OF MEASLES.
TEN DEATHS REPORTED THIS MONTH. SCHOOLS TO BE CLOSED WHERE NECESSARY. (By Telegraph—Press Association, > WHANGAREI, This Day. Since February there have been ten deaths in the northland due to measles, the deaths having occurred in an area embraced by the northern part of Bay of Islands County to the North Cape. Th<j Minister of Health (Hon. P. Fraser) has authorised the medical officer to order the closing of schools ■where necessary.
About one thousand cases have been notified to date.
