The esteem in which the late Mr Charles Sydney King 1 , of Ohau, was held by a large section of the community was shown, at his funeral at the Levin cemetery on Saturday, when there was a large number of relatives and friends anxious to - pay their last respects. The service at the graveside was conducted by Rev. Dr. I. W. Fraser, while the duties of pall-bearers were carried out by Mr. C.*H. Phillips (Master Printers ’ Association) and Messrs H. N. Wood, Jas. Combe and H. Munro (Government Printing Office). Included amongst a beautiful array of floral tributes was a wreath from the Government Printing Office. The late Mr King, whsoe death occurred at his residence at Ohau on Thursday, was born in Essex, England, 64 years ago, and came to New Zealand some 24 years ago After working in the Government Printing Office at Wellington for several years, he came to Ohau and settled down to a life-of retirement. He is survived only by his wife, to whom has been extended every sympathy in her sad loss.
