Cambridge and Oxford won their first track victory over Yale and Harvard on American soil by 7 events to 5.' The half-mile race, the day’s final event, settled the issue. It was won by Captain. Brown who had previously won the -quarter-mile. Captain Pennington also scored a double victory, winning the 100 and 22.! yards.
