WHIRLWIND IN GREYMOUTH.
NUMBER OF RESIDENCES DAMAGED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, Last Night. A whirlwind at 8.45 partially wrecked residences in Chapel street. A verandah was torn from Mrs Kennedy’s residence. The owner was absent. Two balconies were blown off Mr W. Olsen’s residence, which the occupants evacuated. In Miss Eoache V residence the windows were shattered and trees damaged. There was.no damage elsewhere.
