PRICES EASIER. i'Sy Telegraph—Press Association,, CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Easier markets were the rule at today’s Addington market especially for breeding ewes. Store-sheep: Lambs met wdth a slightly better market, but were down by 2s to 3s a head on a week ago. Average two-tooths and sound-mouthed’ ewes were most affected. A number of pens of the former sold at from B2s to 365, the price for a line of Corriedales being 44s 6d, as against 4Ss for best two-tooths at ..the Amberley fair on Monday. The best of four and fiveyear sheep to-day sold at 27s 6d, about 3s weaker than last week. Fat lambs sold at the unaltered schedule, butchers securing most of the small entry.

Fat sheep: There was a good-sized yarding. Best wethers showed Jittle change/ but all medium sorts were easier by Is for wethers and Is 6d tor ewes. Best wethers sold from 28s to 325, good medium weights 25s to 275, and light down to 225; best ewes sold from 23s to 265, good 19s to 225, and Light down to 14s. 6d. Fat cattle: A heavy entry of 460 head and a weaker market by 15s. Best sorts brought from £l3 to £ls, good £lO 10s to £l2 10s, others down to £8 10s; best heifers £7 to £9 17s 6d, medium to good £5 5s to £6 10s, others down to £5 ss; best cows to £9 10s, medium to good £5 to £6 ss. Fat pigs: There was little change in values; choppers 53s 6d to £5 11s; porkers 33s 6d to 51s 6d, average 6d to 64d; baconers 47s 6d to £4 J9s 6d, average price per lb. Slid to 6d.
