WORK OF POST OFFICE. CONSIDERABLE RELIEF GIVEN. (By Telegraph-Press Assn -Copyright ) (British Official Wireless.) Received Thursday, 7.30 p.m. RUGBY, Sept. 2. During a visit to the Radio Olympia the Postmaster-General paid particular attention to an exhibit illustrating the steps being taken for the suppression of radio interference. The problem of minimising interference with radio reception caused by domestic and electrical appliances and equipment, he said, continue to engage the active attention of the Post Office.
The importance of the problem was increasing owing to the extent of the use of electrical appliances of all kinds, and during the past year the Post Office had investigated approximately 40,000 complaints from listeners. In a large majority of cases some measure of relief was effected.
