WOMAN KILLED IN COLLISION.
THREE CAES INVOLVED. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) ASHBURTON, This Day. A woman was killed and another seriously injured in a collision on the main youth Road, near Winslow. The victim was Mary Emily Lowe, single, aged twenty-seven, a daughter or Mr and Mrs W. T. Lowe, of Hinds. The injured lady is Airs G. 11. Farrell, of Hinds, a sister of Miss Lowe. She iwas sent to hospital with a fractured skull and is in a serious condition. The car, driven by a brother, Thomas Peter Lowe and containing also his tather and mother and Miss Watson, of | Hinds, collided with a car driven by Delacy Cameron, a commercial traveller. Cameron’s car was first deflected from its course by a slight collision with a third car driven by AVilliam H. Simmomls, of Lowclifie. Lowe was travelling behind the latter and the whole side of his car was stripped olf. It is thought that Miss Lowe was killed instantlv.
