The gnage at the Fitzheibert Bridge at 5 p.m. showed 2ft. Two hours inter hft. Min. was recorded, and by JO.MO the 7ft mark was passed. At 12.M0 the river had climbed to 10ft., and by I a.m. another six inches had been added. At 2 a.m. the river had passed the lift mark.
