FEILDING SHOW.

SUCCESSFUL LOCAL EXHIBITORS.

The thirty-second annual show conducted by the Feilding A. and P. Association took place on Tuesday and Wednesday with entries in all classes in excess of those for the previous years. The event was favoured with perfect weather and the quality of the live stock exhibited was of an unusually high standard. Mr. P. A. Anderson annexed the championship Jersey bull and cow awards and Mr, Li. V. Brown the championship Shorthorn cow award. Mr. J. (>. Horn gained the grade dairy cattle championship. In the pig section the Levin Dairy Company annexed the championship for Large White boar and sow. In the Jersey cattle section Mr. P. A. Anderson was very successful. He gained first awards in the following classes: —Bull, calved previous to July Ist, 1933; two registered females, any age, in milk; cow, visibly in calf or in milk, calved previous to July Ist, .1932; heifer, in milk, calved since July Ist, 1932; heifer, in milk, calved since July Ist, 193.'!; two heifers, dry, calved since July Ist, 1934. .Second prizes for: —Bull, calved since July Ist, 1935; heifer, dry, calved since July Ist, 1934; two heifers, calved since July Ist, 1935; bull, calved since July Ist, 1933. Third prizes for:—Cow, visibly in calf or in milk, calved previous to July Lst, 1932; heifer, dry, calved since July Ist, 1934; heifer calf, calved since July Ist, 1935.

In tlie milking Shorthorn classes Mr. K. V. Brown was a prominent prize winner. He gained first awards for: — Hull, calved since July Ist, 1934; sow, visibly in calf or in milk, calved previous to July Ist, 1932; heifer, in milk, calved since July Ist, 1932; heifer, in. milk, calved since July Ist, 1933; heifer, dry, calved since July Ist, 1934. Seconds iu:—Bull calf, calved since July Ist, 1935; heifer, dry, calved sine© July Ist, 1934. In th grade dairy cattle section Mr. ,1. (r. Horn annexed iirst prizes for the undermentioned classes: —Cow, any grade, in milk; two heifers, any grade, under 18 months; heifer calf, any grade, calved not earlier than July Ist, 1935; two heifer calves, any grade, calved not earlier than July Ist, 1935. Second prizes in:—Cow, any grade, in milk; heifer, any grade, in milk, over 24 months and under 30 months. In the same section Jimmy Horn obtained firsts for: —Heifer, any grade, in milk,, over 24 months and under 36 months; heifer, any grade, under 18 months. In. the novice classes in this section the/ last named exhibitor gained first awards for: —Cow, any grade, in milk; heifer, any grade, in milk, over 24 and under 33 months; heifer, any grade, under 18 months.

For purebred Large Whites in the pig section the Levin Dairy Company gained firsts for boar, any age, and sow in pig (over 14 months), and also second prize for the latter. In the competitions, Mr. G. H. Vickers' Happy Landing was placed first in the maiden hunters' competition and lost hack and second in the best troop horse up to lost class.
