An anticyclone is situated over the south-west Tasman Sea, while a, shallow depression followed hy a slight secondary is crossing New Zealand.
The forecast is for strong northwestly winds reaching gale force in places, later hacking to southerlies. Weather jchangeahle with scattered showers and becoming cooler. Seas rather rough to rough.
