GOOD DEMAND FOR STYLISH HALF BRED. CRUTCHING ADVANCE ONE PENNY. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day. At the second wool sale prices at the opening were fully firm on those of the first sale in December. Stylish half bred wools sold well under particularly good competition by overseas buyers as well as local mills. The demand for Merinos was inclined to he sluggish as was the case in December. Hogget wools are not meeting with much competition, the highest price in the first catalogue was 19i<l for a line of ten hales. First Corriedale e we and wether woo! from Roxburgh and good halfbreds brought from 16d to 17id; medium half breds 143 dto lo'jd; line cross breds 11Jd to 13d; cross breds of 46-48 quality, Bid to Old for super lines, the average being 7ld to 7-:{-d. Prices for necks elicited keen competition, super lines bringing from FUd to 15d, while other super lines of medium quality lOld to 121(1. There was a pronounced rise in rates for crutchings which advanced almost, one penny per pound.
