He was more concerned at the loss of his notebooks en route than the reported price put on his head by the Nazis. He is temporarily living in the English countryside. The Weekly Dispatch states that nearly two thousand professional* Jews, -many of them distinguished men, have been living in sanctuary in London .since the beginning of Hitler’s regime.
