Mi Gandhi, who was re-arrested . on breaking the order forbidding him to leave the confines of the city of Poora, appeared before the Magistrate this evening and was sentenced to one year’s simple imprisonment, under the Bombay Emergency Powers Act. CONGRESSMEN ARRESTED. ATTEMPTED TO REVIVE BOYCOTT (Received This Day, 9.15 a.m.) CALCUTTA, August 4. Attempts by Congressmen to revive the boycott of British goods, at Bombay to-day, were dispelled by means of prompt arrests by the police.
