PIGS WITH HOLLOW-BACK.
CAUSE AND REMEDY. x ‘ln putting in the bottom rail, don’t have it too low,” Mr C. M. Hume advised farmers at his meeting in Levin on Wednesday evening, when referring to the construction of the .pen for creep feeding of young pigs. He mentioned that some farmers that he knew had been worrying because -their pigs were becoming more hollowbacked every day. It was eventually found that this was due to their scraping their backs against the rail when passing under it.
