WELLINGTON, Last Night,
The danger of , farmers who carry mortgages being victimised when prices rise was referred to at the annual conference of the Farmers’ Union to-night. A number of remits on the subject figured on the order paper and a committee consisting of Messrs W. J. Poison, H. O. Mellsop, W. W. Mulholland and F. Waite was set up to go into the subject with a view to amending legislation being brought down next session.
