OBITUARY.
ME G. E. WOODMASS. Another of {Shannon's old ‘identities, in the person of Mr George Robert Woodmass, passed away at the Palmerston North Hospital on Saturday lust. The late Mr Woodmass was bom at Upper Hutt 64 years ago and had resided in the Shannon district for the past 32 years, engaging in. farming pursuits. The funeral took place in Shannon on Monday, and the attendance demonstrated the esteem and respect in which the deceased was held throughout the district. A family of four sons and four daughters are left to mourn their loss. The sons are Messrs Harold (Wellington), Ronald and Kenneth (Shannon) and Norman Woodmass (Napier), and the daughters, Mesdames Thompson and B. Lee (Shannon), Russell (Palmerston North) and Gardener (Napier).
