DISTRICT NURSE MATTERS.

SATISFACTION AT WORK. A meeting of the Shannon District Nurse Committee was held in the rooms on Friday evening, all the members being present. General satisfaction was expressed by members of the splendid work being done by Nurse Ford. Mr Phillips, manager of the Palmertion North Hospital, was prevented from coining to the meeting at the last minute and several matters to be taken up with the Hospital Board had to be held over. To date the committee have had to meet expenses amounting to £7O. The initial outlay in furnishing the rooms and buying a bicycle was considerable.

A further sum of £-i0 has to be found for the Hospital Board by March next, but it was felt that the present was not the time to raise it, and that, realising the good work being done, the money would be forthcoming before March. The committee desire to point out that the 2s 6d paid to the Nurse or the Board for- treatment has nothing to do with them and in no way helps their fund. If a patient desires to assist the committee he or she is requested to specially mention to the Nurse that the donation is for the committee’s fund.
