ROYAL MINT’S OFFER.
WILL RE-COIN N.Z. MONEY FREE OF COST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. The Treasury issues a statement today in the course of which it says the whole question of calling tenders from New Zealand firms for supplying the new coinage was settled beyond all doubt by the definite offer from the Royal Mint to make no manufacturing charge and allow the Dominion the whole of the profit arising out of rccoinage. In this respect it is quite correct that the Royal Mint would be out of pocket to the full amount of the manufacturing costs involved.
