RACES FOR WINOOKA.
MATCH WITH FRISKY MATRON ©N THE 29th. UNNAMED OPPONENT TO BE MET NEXT MONTH. (By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright ) (Received This Day, 9.13 a.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, July 12. Arrangements have been finalised for a race between the Australian mare Winooka and Frisky Matron on July 29th, on the Tanforan track, over fiyo find a-haif furlongs. Winooka will carry Bst 81b., and Frisky Matron 7st 71b. ' Edgar Britt will ride the Australian mount. No rider has yet been selected for the Californian mare. _ Winooka arrived at Tanforan in splendid condition. Her next match will be at Seattle on August 12th, over a distance which is not yet determined, but which is likely to be six furlongs. Her opponent is still undesignated, but will possibly be a horse from the Middle West.
It is now stated positively that Winooka will remain in the West at present.
