NORTHERLY "WINDS AND SOME SHOWERS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The intense anti-cyclone which has controlled, the weather since the beginning of the week is now centred nortjh of ' the (Bay tof Plenty. The barometers are falling slowly in tine South in advance of a westerly depression, which has now reached south-eastern Australia and should be affecting New Zealand tomorrow. The district forecast is for moderate but freshening northerly winds. Weather mainly fadr and milder, but some showers likely tomorrow in and west of the ranges. Seaa rather rough to rough.
