BOXING.

Last evening a team of boxfers from the Levin Boxing Association paid a visit to the Boys’ Training Farm, and engaged in friendly no-deeision bouts with some of the boys of the Farm. A car-load from Otaki were also present, two of whont took part. The entertainment was witnessed by quite a large number, who were very highly .pleased at the clean and interesting exhibition given by the ama- < teurs. Seven bouts in all were staged, and the enthusiasm with which the boys from both teams entered into the sport surprised all those present, some of the boys in particular shewing atgood knowledge of all sides of boxing. At the conclusion of the evening, Mr J. B. Bateman, on behalf of the Levin boys, thanked Mr A, Roydhouse for allowing the privilege of the gathering, which all the boys appreciated. Mr Roydhouse, of the Farm, Vho acted as a capable referee during,the' evening, replie dsaying how much the evening, replied, saying how much the ent. i The Levin Association will hold a tournament in the near future, and full particulars will be given shortly.
