NOMINEE OF COWBOYS

SAN ANTONIO (Texas), Feb. 23
Texas Democrats offered John N. Garner for the White House to-day. At a mass meeting of citizens from all corners of the State, the Speaker of the House was put forward as the hope of the Democratic Party. His nomination for President was asked as a “leader ■who knows the road to prosperity.” Preceding the rally there was a long parade. In the lino of march wgre many cowboys from the Kio Grande valley.
