Rev. >C. Hyde, curate of St Ga'briel’s Pimlico London, lias been ottered and Las accepted the assistant curacy of AH Saints’ Church, Palmerston b.orth in place of Rev. J. R- Nei _d. r will arrive at 'the beginning of June.
Miss Muriel Oak, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. T. Oak, at Durham Street, had to enter the Levin Private Hospital last evening, and she undeiVent an operation this morning, tor appendictis. Her friends will be pleased to know that her condition is now satisfactory, and her early recovery may be expected.
The funeral of the late Mr E. T. D. Yuile, which took place yesterday, wa„ attended by a very which the district was well derce and later at the Levin Cemetery by the Bov. J. C. Hatch, G New and J. P Co vie— were among the pallbearers, th e others of whom were Messrs W. G Vickers and F. Nicholson, president and secretary, respectively, of the Levin Racing Club.
