RIFLE SHOOTING.
HATJTERE CLUB. A very pleasant afternoon's shooting was held on Saturday. The day, which was called Ladies' Day, was not a perfect one for shooting. A very tricky wind was very troublesome, especially at the 600 yards range. Nevertheless, members who took care came off the best. The lucky ladies for the day were Miss R. Eagle Ist (nominated by jßfm. J. Fielding), and Mrs. H. Lumsden 2nd (nominated by Rfm. H. Lumsden). . After the shooting the ladies served,. afternoon tea in the pavilion which was much appreciated by all. Scores: —
Next Saturday ten, shots at 300 and 500 yards will bo fired for commencement of the Cook Cup, Championship Belt and Mr. H. B. Edhouse's trophy.
