ELECTION DECISION STIMULATES BUSINESS Times Cable. Received Wednesday, 7.0 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 7. Despite appearances, Mr. Ramsay MacDonald’s programme is not really nebulous. He himself is the symbol that the Nationalist forces will not be dissipated in internecine quarrels. The decision to hold the elections means that all parties supporting the Government have realised the overwhelming importance of crushingly defeating the Socialists. Nothing else can reassure the world that Britain means to face her difficulties. It is for the constituencies to complete the work Cabinet has begun, and to choose candidates who are not fiscal fanatics on either side. The election decision has relieved business circles, stimulated the gilt-edged market and caused a recovery of the sterling. Foreign Minister in Paris British Official Wireless.
