INTEREST PAYMENTS IN FULL CANBERRA, Oct. 7. Mr. Theodore, Federal Treasurer, announced in the House of Representatives that the New South Wales Government is meeting its interest payments fully as they fall due, and the action instituted by the Commonwealth for the recovery of former indebtedness has been discontinued. The -total amount due by New South Wales As $4,559,434. New South Wales had discounted Treasury bills to provide this amount and had paid the proceeds to the Commonwealth. Mr. Latham (deputy-leader of the Opposition): So Mr. Lang has climbed down? Mr. Maxwell (another Oppositionist): Yes, since the revolution!
