BOILED MUTTON.
It is waste of cooking heat to boil mutton on its own. Put meat bones 'on with the mutton, also vegetables, and this will give you soup and improve the mutton. The good from the bones goes into the mutton as does the 'flavour of the vegetables and thus makes a much more palatable joint whether hot or cold.
