HOCKEY.
The fortnightly meeting of the management committee of the Manawatu Ladies' Hockey Association was held last evening, Mr. F. Amos presiding. Also present were: Messrs Ranson, Burgess, Lundy, Turnbull and Yasey (secretary). A letter was received from the Akitio Ladies' Hockey Association stating that its winning team would be taking part in the champion of champions tourney to be held at the Sportsground to-morrow. Bush Union and Feilding Associations also signified their intention of sending teams to take part. The Horowhenua Association wrote expressing regret that it would not be able to send a team. Mr, Yasey was appointed manager of the tournament. •
