Patients in Hawera Hospital
PROGRESS REPORT. HAWERA, Last Night. A bulletin issued by the Hawera hospital shows that 22 patients from the earthquake area had been admitted. James Stevenson, 80 years, of Martinborough, who had suffered dislocation of a shoulder, died yesterday. He was sent to Hawera from Palmerston North camp and it is presumed ho was injured at Napier or Hastings. The condition of James Pocock, 02 years old, Old Peoples’ Home, Napier, who is suffering from abrasions, is regarded as serious. Harry Abbott, 39 years, 704 Karamu road, Hastings, w r as discharged from hospital on Saturday. The condition of the remaining It) patients is satisfactory.
