GOVERNMENT ANXIOUS CONCERNING INVESTMENTS ABROAD.

(Received This Day, 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, August 27. i The News and Chronicle’s Berlin 'correspondent says that the flight of -capital fro.m Germany is causing the ‘Government great anxiety. It is estimated that £41,000,000 has left the country since January, the bulk of Tvhich has gone to Switzerland and, more recently to Holland. Besides big capitalists, small people are sending their paltry savings abroad, despite the Xigher rates of interest and freedom from income tax obtainable if the mon•ey were banked in Germany. Dr. Eeinhold, formerly Minister of Finance, brands the flight of capital »as “a crime.” There has not been ;sueh an exodus of capital since the Inflation period immediately after the .War. .
