D. Sutherland, a member of the Thistle Pootball Club, was suspended for six months following ’an inquiry held by the Management Committee of the Canterbury Pootball Association :jast night into the incident that led to his being ordered off the field hi the match against Western last Saturday. Other incidents mentioned during the discussion were a player kicking an opponent on the ground, fighting between two players at half time and a player being struck across* the face by a woman when he was leaving English Park last Saturday. In these cases it was decided to write to the clubs concerned drawing their attention to the matters complained of.
