British Railways and Bus Companies' Merger
TRAFFIC CO-ORDINATION. Received Tuesday, 7.50 p.m. LONDON, Dee. 3.. Negotiotions between the main line railways and the largest group of motor 'bus companies in the provinces have resulted in an agreement regarding the co-ordination of road and rail traffic, the rail companies acquiring a substantial, although not a Controlling interest in each 'bus company. The agreement covers practically the whole of the English provinces, also parts of Wales and Scotland, and involving 7500 'buses.
