APPEAL AGAINST SENTENCE.

An appeal has been lodged by Mr Dickson, who dofended George Caffery, on a charge of the murder of Thomas Levy by stabbing in August, against the sentence of twelve years' hard labour on the count of manslaughter. Caffery is aged 34 and is a quarter-caste negro.
