GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S FAREWELL VISIT TO PALMERSTON.
FOUNDATION STONE OF MASSEY COLLEGE LAID. (By Telegraph —Press Association). PALMERSTON, N., This Day. This morning the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the new buildings of Massey College was performed by the Govornor-General (Sir Chas. Fergusson). Included among those present wore the Hon. G. W. Forbes (Minister of Agriculture), Hon. E. Newman, M.L.C., Hon. G. J. Smith, M.L.C., and Sir George Fowlds (chairman of the College Council). ' Later His Excellency was entertained at a luncheon by the Borough Council. This afternoon ho will be accorded a farewell by the citizens.
