Big Explosion Blows Hole in Oil Tanker
FLAMES SEEN FOR MILES. Received Tuesday, 7.30 p.m, LONDON, Nov. 26. Three terrific explosions blew otit 60 feet of the•starboard side of the oil tanker British Chemist at Grangemonth harbour, shaking the wholetown. Fierce Homes lit up the district for miles. Six of the crew who were trapped on board escaped by jumping into the sea. Two were severely burned and one was taken to hospital. The British Chemist arrived from Abakan with a cargo of crude oil this morning and discharged her cargo, d ho explosion is believed ■ to be due to vapour ignited by a fire on a neigh-
