LOWER INTEREST RATES TO FARMERS PREDICTED.

The Secretary of Agriculture, Air. Hyde, predicted lower interest rates on loans to farmers after he and a group of farm leaders had conferred with President Hoover to-day. The lenders recommended to the President the im-
mediate extension of a national roadbuilding programme. , Throughout the day Presiden Hoover's office was flooded with tel> grams from many sources, indicatin’ that officials of all capacities arc cage; to co-operate with his programmes ol construction and development.
The President’s final conference wi bo one with the utility heads, afti which the Chamber of Commerce wi take up the work begun by him.
