TO-NIGHT’S PROGRAMME, Greta Garbo, who is undoubtedly o»c of the most fascinating personalities ever to appear on the silver screen, has a part that should immensely delight her large following and win her thousands of new admirers in “Wild Orchids,” her newest M-G-M film showing at the De Luxe Theatre to-night. In every way this picture is one that should not be missed. Miss Garbo, as has already been said, is excellent in her part and Lewis Stone and Nils Asther both give her splendid support. Asther, in particular, seems to be destined for great honours on the. screen. Jt is a drama of stormy passions and the struggle of a beautiful woman caught in a situation that attracts here even as it repels, “Thou Shalt Not Steal,” the second feature to-night, which stars the brilliant British comedienne, Lilian Harvey, is a story of unusual plot and one that no doubt will be well received. It is the tale of a girl who has wasted her life in the pitfalls of crime, and is reformed by one who takes an interest in her. Miss Harvey is exceedingly well-known on the Continent and the British Isles for her series of comedies made by her illustrating the adventures of Mazie, only one of which has boon shown in this country, entitled “Crazy Mazie'.” Supporting lip- in this production, which was directed by Victor Jansen for UFA, is Dina Gralla and Werner Fuetterer.
