Motor Overturns on Loose Metal

BOY SERIOUSLY HURT. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. A motor car overturned on looseshingle on the road to O’Kains Bay, Banks Peninsula, yesterday and Desmond John Pidgcon, son of the owner and driver of the car, W. L. Pidgoon. received a deep cut on the head and two fingers cut off. He may also lose the thumb. Only bruises and shock were suffered by the two other passengers. Mr Pidgcon had his hands cut in breaking the windows to extricate his family. Mrs Pidgcon suffered badly from shock ami one of her stockings was burnt off by acid from the battery.
