H. D. Bennett Retires From Hutt By-election
ANNOUNCEMENT PROM WANGANUI WON’T FURTHER PREJUDICE ANTI-SOCIALIST CANDIDATES WANGANUI, Last Night. Mr. H. D. Bennett, Independent candidate in the Hutt by-election, who is on a week-end visit to Wanganui, announced to-day that he would not further prejudice the held against the anti-Socialist candidates and would therefore retire from the contest.
