INCREASED RATES.
REVALUATION IN CHRISTCHURCH
(By Tft”eeraph -Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
New demands just issued show staggering increases in many of the rates on city properties. One business man who paid £6OO in rates last year on three properties, must pay over £9OO this year. The increases are largely the result of new valuations. Residential properties arc also affected though here decreases are recorded as well as increases.
