DE LUXE—TO-NIGHT.

ZANE GREY PICTURE TO-NIGHT.

Battling two-fisted, gun-wielding gamblers and bad men and finally running them out of town was one of the tasks given Richard Arlen during tha making of Zane Grey’s “Under the Tonto Rim,” which comes to the Do Luxe Theatre this evening as a Paramount screen attraction. “Under the Tonto Rim” is the story of gangsters and outlaws who infested the small towns of the West at the time gold was discovered in the Tonto Basin in Arizona, before that territory had become a State. Arlen, as JBdd Denmeade, avenges the death of his father, an old prospector, who was slain by Sam Sprall, a notorious and fearless gambler. When the discovery of gold is announced, Sprall’s band of thieves begin their foraging and killing. and Arlen puts a stop to it through daring methods. Throughout the story which contains all the .thrills of a Zane Grey talc, theer is a touch of romance in Arlen’s love for Lucy Watson, played by Mary Brian. The excellent oast is headed by Harry T. Morey, Jack Luden, Billy Franey, Harry Todd, Alfred Allen, Bruce Gordon. and Jock Byron.

The supports include “The Flying Romeos,” non-stoy flight of film that is making new records.
