LEVIN A. AND P. SHOW.
DOG ENTRIES CLOSE TO-NIGHT. Arrangements are well advanced for the annual Show of the Horowhenua A. and P. Association, to be hold at Levin on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 29th and 30th, and all the indications point to a remarkably successful gathering. The classes are very comprehensive, embracing horses and competitions, cattle in six divisions (dairy cattle and purebreds and five breeds), sheep in six divisions and three specified breeds, pigs of the loading varieties at present reared, and dogs comprising a Show of their own, for which entries close ihis evening. The ring events are numerous on both days, and to them there have been added this year a motor-cycle race and steer-riding contests) iThe general public will be able to exercise the competitive spirit by patronising the guessing competitions, of which there are three.
Entries have come in freely in all sections, and fair weather is the onlyrequirement to ensure an epoch-making exhibition.
