ELECTRIC LIGHT SPORTS.
Entries for the Athletic Clubs' electric light Sports, to be held en the Levin Domain on Tuesday evening, have now closed, and the competitors will number sixty. This is very gratifying to the Committee, who have every reason to hope for a very successful meeting. Most of these competitors are well-known performers, and would attract a crowd anywhere. The Committee are putting in a good deal of hard work to make the Sport* worthy of the occasion and the Athletic Club is worthy of all the support that can be given it.
If the present spell of decided summer weather continues, tho evening should be very enjoyable, and the competitors will have the advantage of performing at the coolest time of the day. Should the weather change, ifc is satisfactory to know that th» grandstand holds a large number of. people, the electric lights are in, good order, and a good view of the events may be had from the ,sta»tj, coasequeatly tk? crowd should be■.there in either case, and little doubt exists that the meeting will be one of the best yet held by the club.
