CHALLENGE FROM SOUTH CANTERBURY. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A) a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union last evening formal notice of a challenge for the Ranfurly Shield was received from the South Canterbury Union. The flatter of arranging dates witli South Canterbury and other challenging unions was left in the hands of delegates to the annual meeting of the New Zealand Union.
