Red Fuschia, Loinbardo and Mountain Top were clear of Lightmoro, Ballyfarnon and Garzon as they came past the stands. At the six furlong post Garzon commenced to go forward. Catching the leaders at the railway, he was soon in front of Lombardo and Mountain Top, running past Fed Fuschia. Garzon 'and Mountain Top left the field behind turning into the home stretch and Garzon, drawing out in the final bit, won by two lengths. Red Fuschia was four lengths away, a head in front of Lombardo. Time: 3min. 20secs.

Paleta was in front at the live furlongs post, Excess, Doree and Arrow Lad lying next. Coining across the top, Arrow Lad went up to 1 leta, with Doree, Excess, and Singleton doing the best of the others. Paleta and Arrow Lad were together as they turned into the straight, Arrow Lad being the first to weaken. Doree then joined Paleta and, in a great struggle, got home by a head, with Singleton halt a length away. Excess and Arrow Lad were next. As they came to the ho-ie turn Imperial Spark commenced to go back, whilst Bennanee and Tresham joined the other two.
