LEVIN BUTTER.

GREAT INCREASE IN PRODUCTION A pay-out of Is 6d per lb of butterfat, for finest grade cream supplied during August, was made by the Levin Co-operative Dairy Co., last week. This price, in conjunction with the increased make, augurs well for the prosperity of the season. The output is over a ton a day more than it was at this time last year, having reached 150 boxes a day, as compared with 109 boxes on September 23rd, 1926. The winter output was a very creditable one, showing for the three months ended August 31st an increase of 21 tons over the amount produced in the corresponding period last year. The new churn, which will turn out 20001bs of butter in one churning, will be in operatioji in a few days, and will cope with the increased supply of cream for a considerable period.
