4 The death occurred yesterday of Mrs George Gordon, a resident of otaki, for the past forty years. Dr. E. Bridgman, who has been acting as locum teuens for Br. S. J. Thompson, has ‘returned to Auckland. The Rev. ,1. D. McArthur occupied the Taranaki Street Church pulpit, Wellington, yesterday, relieving Rev. c. Eaton, who is just recovering from a very serious operation. Mrs .1. Proctor, Senr., mother of Mr J. W. Proctor, has celebrated her 87th birthday. Who has lived in Foxton for 51 years, has 116 grand and great-grandchildren, while 67“ direct descendants sat down at dinner in Foxtoir some -eight years ago on the occasion of her golden-wedding day. Mrs Procter received many congratulations on her most recent ariuiyeisary.
