UGLY SITUATION AT TIENTSIN. ;lieceived This Day, 11.30 a.m.) PEKIN, August 13. . Trouble at Tientsin broke out following the efforts of a number of agitators to . cause non-striking mill workers to walk out. ■ The Police Guards, reinforced by the military, went ter the mills. All the afternoon the strikers marched in procession until the temper of the crowds w r as very ugly. Slones, were thrown at the police and attempts made to rush the mills, culminating in an attempt to rush the police. The cordon ol military Guards then fired. An eye witness states about two hundred shots wore fired. The crowd dispersed immediately and the situation at present is quiet.
