QUESTION TO GO TO APPEAL. (Per' Press Association.) DANNEVIRKE, July 17. In a prosecution under the heavy traffic by laws, counsel for defendant contended that the recent, regulations under the Motor Vehicles Act overrode the County by-laws. The Magistrate (Mr Stout) said ha had carefully looked into the point.. He did not think the by-laws ifireasonable or repugnant to the Act. if he were fo hold otherwise it might mean that thousands of pounds of damage would be done to County roads and who was going to pay for it He must uphold Hie by-laws. It would be a very serious thing to upset the by-laws at this season <of the year. Security tor appeal was fixed 'at £2O. _ _ _
