COMMISSION TO INQUIRE.
(Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) Sydney, February 14. Mr Walsh has officially announced that the seamen declined; to giv,e. he assurances sought by the owners, hut were prepared to resume on the conditions prevailing prior to the stewards' strike.
It is anticipated some development is likely at a mass meeting of seamen on Tuesday.
